The Train to Waterford

On Wednesday, another rainy summer day in Ireland, we traveled by train to Waterford.  The train is one of Lincoln's favorite things to do - although he does spend a lot of time on the iPad, but there are perks, such as the Trolley with lots of snacks and drinks that comes does the aisle and the beautiful Irish scenery.  The train system is called "Iarnrod Eireann" but I swear I hear the conductor say "Here nor there" every single time!

Trolly Menu!

Such a lovely system making sure we're all well fed on the train . . . .

Beautiful Irish country scenes

Jana noticed that the cows in Ireland seem particularly relaxed -
most of them were happy to just be laying around in the lush green meadows.

Lincoln loved this stop because it reminded him of Thomas the Train.
The real Thomas the Train character is English, though, not Irish.
And from the town of Chuggington, if I recall correctly.

We have arrived in Waterford!  Where it's pouring rain. Again.
So, it's off to the Waterford factory and showroom . . . .
